For David Santisi, business and an entrepreneurial spirit is a
family trait. He grew up in Youngstown, OH where his family owned
28 grocery stores and other related companies such as: produce,
trucking, brokerage, land holding, bakery, wholesale supply, and
meat. There was a lot to do, so he started working at thirteen
unloading produce and meat trucks every summer until he went to
college. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1990. He was
a member of the school's first Rose Bowl team in 1986.
In addition to his college education David attributes the
majority of his business acumen to the life lessons he learned from
his father. How to achieve success and how to treat people, were
two important lessons he absorbed as he watched his father conduct
respected, successful businesses and help his high school and
college aged employees achieve their career dreams. While David was
in college, the family business changed. His father sold some of
the stores and companies to focus on the trucking, brokerage and
produce companies. These newly formed operations provided David his
first experience in the trucking and brokerage industries.
David started out performing many functions from accounting to
buying and selling. After three years, he took on a management role
and led the trucking, brokerage and produce companies. After seven
years in the leadership role, Triple T Transport came calling and
David moved to Columbus, OH.
In 1999, his first role with TTT was to acquire new accounts,
cover loads with trucks and ensure pick-up and delivery. He
performed these responsibilities successfully and in 2007 David was
promoted to Sales Manager.
David's current responsibilities as Vice
President are:
- Maintain and improve customer relationships
- Coach employees on growth for future business
- Conduct sales meetings and coaching sessions
- Attend industry conferences and meetings
